This isn't my first rodeo on blogging, but based on my past experience, I don't always have the luxury to complete a journal of series of events. After browsing the Internet for any results of "AMEDD BOLC" or "what happens at BOLC" or "what to expect at a medical BOLC when I've already been in the training environment since forever?", I only found a couple other blogs from a few years ago (
this one is from a nurse; sounds like a nice lady). I've decided to write my own, for the benefit of a few friends that I have in mind, as well as to continue on something that I hope will help others out there like me, who are seemingly fruitlessly trying to Google info that less than 1% of Americans would be in the least interested.
Thus, ahem, my current mission is as follows:
"(I am to) report to AMEDD BOLC at FSH on 04SEP13 IOT begin BOLC and follow-on studies as a 65B" [A correction to my initial "mission": I am to report to FSH at the AMEDD Museum NLT 041230R September 2013 IOT begin in- processing for BOLC. Reason for change: I'm STILL waiting for BOLC! Ha...hurry up and wait again.]
So here goes...
A brief brief about the author: a prior-service, ROTC-commissioned, education-delayed, anxiously awaiting to-be-65B (Army physical therapist) detailing everything involving this Basic Officer Leadership Course experience because to "just go there and you'll be fine" isn't cutting it for the one with a mind for meticulous, attention-to-detail preparations. Type-A, you scoff? Maybe. You'll thank me later when I rehab your butt off for greater, more glorious things.
P.S. To my "Buddies", I hope you like the little references throughout this blog and it's visual template to lessons learned from class.
